About Instructor

Emily Behtz

Emily is a product of 2 decades of dance training. She began her dance career at Medina Centre for Dance Art in Medina Ohio in 2000. She had the amazing opportunity during middle school to dance with both The Cincinnati Ballet and The San Jose Ballet for their Nutcracker seasons. When her family moved to Athens, Georgia, in 2009, she attended Alice DePass Studio of Dance for a year before continuing her studies at The Studio Dance Academy. During her senior year of high school, Emily auditioned for and was accepted into the dance programs at both The University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University. After visiting both departments, Emily decided to further her education with The Department of Dance at Kennesaw State University. The summer after Emily graduated from high school, she spent the summer training in The Atlanta Ballet’s advanced summer intensive, where she honed her ballet technique.
